Error Message - Invalid Cast

I was working on a project with Photopia Director. The program crashed. Multiple times when I tried to reopen the project, I kept getting an error message saying, "An error when loading the project. Invalid cast." Does anyone have any idea what "INVALID CAST" means. I have "no clue" what it means.

I am in "desperate need" of a solution to this problem!

I am facing a fast-approaching deadline to get this project finished. At this point in time, there is no way that I can start creating this project again from scratch. Also, I do not have time to wait who knows how long to hear back from technical support or go back and forth with them via email. I would appreciate hearing from anyone asap who has a fix for this problem.
