@koray-ustuner

Photopia does not currently support 8K video output.  I'll make sure it gets added to the feature request list.

Thank you.

Another vote for 8K video.

I realize it's not very common now, but in a couple years it will be all the rage.
I would like to future proof my slide shows.

@koray-ustuner

This request is still on the list, but we don't have an update on when it might be added to the program.

I don't want to sound snarky, but you surely don't want to be the only slide show software option that offers 8K.
Nobody wants a product that offers a unique feature that will be useful into the future.

OK, done be snarky.

Been upgrading some of my slide shows.
From 2010-2014 I did the shows in 720P
From 2014-2016 I did the shows in 1080P
From 2017 on, the show have all been 4K

I would have never imagined in 2011 that 8 years later ALL the TV's in my house would be 4K.
All three of them were priced under $900. ( Black Friday week, is TV buying week in our house ) - No purchases this year.

8K is coming.

Ok, enough of me harping about 8K.

The reason is I am making timelapse videos with my 36MP camera. So teorically its native 8K. I'm not upscale it. It will be great If I can make this timelapse videos with Photopia. As you know Youtube also already supports 8K content. So I think my request is reasonable.

Koray, I just don't think it will happen. ( I would love for the Photopia people to prove me wrong )
I create my videos in 4K in Photopia and then upscale them in Topaz Video Enhance.
It's very, very GPU intensive and my latest 8 minute 4K movie took 30 hours to render/upscale to 8K.
I'm looking upgrade my GPU, but it's quite annoying to pay double MSR. ( My 12 core CPU is useless for the render )

Shameless plug. This video was created in 4K using Photopia, then upscaled to 8K.

We still don't have an estimated release date for 8K video output support. It's a feature we intend to add, but there are some other pieces in Photopia that need to fall into place first. We're also looking at the 8K display market and while it's coming along nicely, it still has a ways to go before it's realistically competitive with 4K displays in terms of market share. Adding 8K output support is definitely on our roadmap, to be clear, but I wanted to add some extra context since I can see how important the feature is to both of you.

@yaryman Thanks for your reply.

The source images are already 8K and above. So I dont need upscale to 8K, just render option to 8K is more than enough for me.

Youtube already accepting 8K almost 2 or more years. So hope to see Photopia to 8K option soon too.
