When I select a slide Style it works in Preview, but after I click apply the slide disappears from the Setting tab and I get the message "Missing File".
This only happens on one existing project, but not on new ones????
Q. Have you upgraded from ProShow Gold to Photopia Creator?
Option 1:
If its the slide "Style" that's missing (which I doubt) reload the software or use the PSGold upgrade option
Option 2:
Disable your Anti Virus Software!
I used to have anti virus software on my machine (5 years ago) that played havoc every time it auto-updated my PC - Ended up removing it as it totally screwed up PS Gold software , files and folders etc.
Option 3:
If the image is missing:
Its possible you might have moved the missing "file" into a different folder on your hard drive since you last saved the "show"!!
I have done this in the past when I've moved images into a different folder then recalled a slideshow to carry on editing and find that I have quite a few missing files.
Priory to creating a new show my "workflow" is to create an assets folder where I drop any resources that I need to use so they are all in one place and I'm not looking into multiples folders to find them.
Hope that helps.
Thank you for the reply. I have Photopia Director. The slide show I am referring to was not transferred from ProShow Gold....it was created new. I applied Styles to a couple of slides and it worked fine, then it stopped working and giving me the Missing file error. I reloaded the show....it did not correct the problem.
The procedure I am using is as follows: I add a new slide to the show. It appears both in the Timeline and in the Settings tab and the upper left of the program. Then I click the Style tab below the Settings tab and select a Style from the 409 different one available. When I click the preview window my selected Slide plays back in the preview window with the Style I selected. Next, I press the Apply tab and my slide disappears from the Setting tab and the Timeline and is replaced with the Missing File message in both the Setting tab and Timeline and the review window turn Black.
I will try disabling the Anti Virus Software.
