Ok, So I have not used director for a couple of weeks.

Thought I would have a look see how they are getting on with solving problems.

So opened up (still using evaluation version) and it did the latest updates. Great I thought another load of updates, should be some improvements.

Opened a small 8 slide show which I had previously made to test video etc.

It opens (to a point), the Import/Export queue box opens up and shows the videos to be imported (They are all sitting in the Data file in Photopia slide shows folder) First one starts importing (small file of only 1,131KB) that takes about 2 minutes to reach 100 pct. and then NOTHING HAPPENS.

That first one sticks at "running 100%. In top right of desktop shows video import 100% with spinning symbol (or whatever you call it).

Playing the show (whilst having the import screen in background) works except that most of the videos show the "video is being imported" on them and the controls (play/stop) do not work after first slide i.e. where the video is being imported.

Tried 3 times now, opening and closing the show, opening and closing the programme etc. Leaving it "importing" whilst going for a 10 mile jog and everything else.

NOTHING.

I give up (again).

Cheers

Last one.

I did add a p.s. to my last but it timed out and now I can't edit it. Not that it matters because it is now nearly five days and still not "moderated/approved"???

I find out what the problem was.

A video file .mp4 which was in a slide show used in a previous version of director (and used countless times in various other programmes) was not loading. It loads in every other graphics programme but not director. Even though it was fine in all the previous countless versions of the programme!!!!

I found a load of stuff whilst trying to figure out was wrong, probably caused by this one file causing problems but things which should not be happening on a stable and commercial piece of software.

So after 16 versions of the programme in 4 months and who knows how many bug fixes and updates it decides that something which was working fine should not work???

I use a number of other graphics programmes from Adobe to Corel and cyberlink and I have never ever known so many silly issues or so many updates and fixes in shuch a short time after release.

I don't know how others are finding it these days or what people use it for. It seems to be fine if you just want to make some fairly basic slideshows with a few photos and a built in effect or two. But as soon as you start adding video/audio and being a bit more creative or making more complex shows then it just cannot cope.

Just basic stuff liking synching audio to video, having smooth playback, being able to easily change timings etc etc.

I am just glad I did not pay for this thing from the outset or I would be screaming for my money back.

Sorry Photopia, and I know I have said this a couple of times already, but I am definitely done with your programmes for now.

When I can (eventually) get a show made in one version and then the next version crashes it then there is no real point in carrying on.

Cheers

I already payed for the creator, and it is imposible to make a show. When I want to save the show the program shut down.

I have sent 3 mails and no one has replied.

I feel robbed.

@ana-isabel-ramos

Please check your spam folder when you get a chance.  We sent out a response to your first eMail on Sunday but never received a reply.  I've also sent that message again, just in case the previous instance was accidentally deleted or something of that nature.  Your more recent eMails concern the same issue, so we're still working with the troubleshooting steps from our initial reply.  Given that we need information from your computer in order to proceed, eMail remains our best option.

Let us know if you're still not seeing that response.
