1.0.320 is out and helps.
Lots of fixes there. Will have to download tomorrow and give it a try. I note they have fixed a lot of video/audio issues (hopefully).
Good News Robert,

The Player offers an update but it does not install!

Peter,
I have just updated and tested a little.
I had no problems installing Creator (There is a point during the install where it looks like it has finished. You have to be patient and wait a few seconds - then it continues installing.
Downloaded and installed the Player without any problems at all.
Tested the player with a Standalone file and it played perfectly.
For me, so far so good.
By the way, thank you for pointing me to the Standalone Player. I have never used it before in Producer. It is a very convenient tool to know about.

Douglas
Tried a Wizard.
Not sure if the FX included in it matched the actual Theme I had chosen.
Remixed and chose a different theme.
After it went through the process of rebuilding - the same first theme show was played again.
Tried changing to a third theme, by choosing REmix etc.
Still the first theme was being used. ????

The issue I had with my laptop crashing when publishing seems to have been fixed.
Wizard still picks wrong items still. Tried Impact Wizard and had a bunch of Christmas, Valentine, and other transitions/slide styles that should not have been there.
But progress is being made.

Peter,
There is a update for the Photopia Player but it does not install completely. The uninstall routine does not work either. I had to go and remove all reference to the player in the folder where it installed and in the registry. I then went to Photopia downloads section and downloaded the newer version, when it installed it only wrote the files in C:\Program Files\Photopia Player\. No shortcut on the desktop, no reference to it at all on the start menu, it was as if it never installed. Once I went to the folder and found it I created a shortcut to desktop and it worked. It seems like Photopia is just throwing this stuff out there and waiting till someone complains.
Bob
Bob,
As I said above the player installed and I could run a standalone show.
But you are correct, even though I selected add a desktop icon, during installation, no icon appeared.
I had to do as you did and create my own link.
I did notice, however, that before I added the desktop icon, if I just clicked on a standalone show the player opened automatically.

What Photopia Player are you talking about.? Do I need some special player, please ? I have QuickTime and a good sound.
Mirja
Mirja,
one of the possibilities to output a show is to render it as a "Stand Alone Show".
You van then play the created show in the downloaded "Photopie Player".
The advantage is that the rendering process is very fast and you can check the show on the computer!
Have fun!

Thank you for your answer and help. I must try. Just now i do not understand. It must be so we can see the slideshow on our computers before we have made it to video file. I will look at this afternoon.
