Several directories are left in the PC when Uninstalling both programs
Thank you for reporting this issue, which we will be looking into further on our end. There are a few details associated with file removal during an uninstall process that will need to be handled carefully (ex. removing customer-created content), so this one may take a little longer than usual to resolve as we want to err on the side of caution with any solution.
Any update on this topic? I just uninstalled both products and I still see several folders that are left and also numerous registry entries. The folders I understand the need to be careful not to delete user content, however, what is the purpose of leaving registry entries, that can potentially be the source of some of the problems that users may experience when re-installing the products again?

We do not yet have an update on this issue but it has been logged and sent off for further analysis.
While it can certainly be bad form to leave too much data behind after uninstalling a program, some residual data is to be expected. Uninstalling a registered program, for instance, often leaves registration details behind in the Windows registry. This makes it easier to uninstall / reinstall that program (a fairly common troubleshooting step) by eliminating extraneous registration steps.
It seems that the latest version of Player will not let you uninstall via the control panel. If you choose uninstall it just opens the program for you.
