The new feature of providing access for accented characters is a nice thing to have, unless you plan to do any typing to add text content! As I type, I am constantly experiencing the dialog box for choosing an accented character open. Unless I carefully type one character at a time on a 1 second cadence, I keep running into this. I'm sure others are seeing it also, though I haven't seen posts here about it, and as explained in my other note, attempts to write a problem report are unsuccessful.

We've had a few reports about this issue and are looking into possible solutions. The delay on the new 'long keypress' feature appears to work for many and be a bit too short for others. As you've seen, different typing cadences (as you put it) can have a big impact on a time-sensitive feature like this, which is what we'll be looking at addressing.
@joshua Thanks for the response - I suggest in the investigation you compare users with "chiclet" keyboards vs those whose keys have longer throws, such as many of the Logitech and similar traditional styled keyboards. Mine is a 2 year old Logitech and has a severe problem unless I keep all my fingers away from the keys and only, carefully, strike one at a time. Fast typing doesn't work at all and is a major hassle. I'm only guessing at this, but I'm thinking this changes keystroke timing.
Thank you for the additional information. We'll keep this in mind. When it comes to typing speed / patterns, there is quite a bit of variability, be it between different kinds of hardware or different people.
Thanks to the team - the text tools now are a lot more friendly, as they should be! Ver 1.0.776 fixed it.
