Problem: When a project has been selected and loaded the "Project Assets are Not Visible"
Having loaded a show today It looked like the show assets and contents had failed to load...........
After a few expletives I took a little time to review and check my settings for the PC, Photopia software and project assets folders. All was in order.
A few more attempts at opening up different projects also resulted in the assets not being visible on the desktop. This led me to take a closer look at the displayed workspace, which on opening at the start of the day apparently defaults to the settings when the programme was last closed.
Solution: Remembering that I'd spent a couple of hours experimenting with "Keyframes" prior to shutdown I noticed that tab "KeyFrames" tab was still selected on the timeline, deselecting the "Keyframes" tab and selecting either "Slides or Timeline" tab shows all project assets visible in all locations on the desktop - Boy was I relieved - Panic over.
Long term user of PS Gold but with all new software - its a learning curve.
Top Tip -
No project assets/contents visible after loading? Deselect the "Keyframes" tab on the Timeline Menu bar by selecting either "Slides" or "Timeline"
Note: To stop this from happening ensure that "Keyframes" is de-selected when ending a session. Next time you open a new session your UI should default to your last UI settings.
That's a good tip. Photopia is going to try and keep the UI in the same configuration from session to session. This means that having the "Keyframes" list active when the programs is closed, rather than the "Slides" or "Timeline" list(s), will result in the "Keyframes" list being active when the program loads. You should be able to use the "Previous Slide" / "Next Slide" options in the "Keyframes" list to navigate through the show, or switch over to "Slides" / "Timeline" (as suggested) for quicker navigation between slides.
