1)Transitor does not show how they look to me. Photo's are always quiet. 2)Layers show only one photo at the time. I have several photos on that slideshow. It was not so at the beginning. 3)
Masking works poorly for me. I see that I have masked but in slideshow I only see empty black window. I wait more learning videos.4) wizard is not working but i have never used it on Proshow. I can't learn this alone. But I will have the program.I have to all programs a teacher,it is same here. Sound is still very good and the program very stabel even after many hours, no hacking, colurs are very good
Very advanced program.I like it, even with all difficulties at the beginning.
Have a nice day Mirja

I join some of the concerns above, after a long and in-depth testing of the director. At the stage of creating a presentation, I encountered problems in groups. Groups, as I understand it, were created in order to not only visually hide layers, but also apply complex solutions to these layers in one place. For example, we can set the whole group to tilt, position, scale, etc.
But ... I ran into the fact that masks and adjustment layers do not work correctly in groups. In other words, if you created a specific group, you cannot correctly use masks and adjustment layers inside it. If this circumstance is not corrected, then groups are not necessary. And this is the Producer, on the latest version of which I continue to work.

@stranger2156 I must at least know if i have created a group. I took many times photos  from same folder but different content .I can explain what i mean clear. But i make no layers as on Proshow. I saw only photo i had clicked on layers. When i wanted mask on photo so I could not move the photo inside so it looked very funny..and why it did not moved to the slideshow.

I have been very interested on programs  and  bought a lot..And every program - not some very easy - has had problems at the beginning for many people and companies.  This usual situation. Developers has alwys fixed them.

. I have had Proshow Produced many years. Photex is not dead. They still help you with assitance for Proshow. I do not need it.

I stop now some days work with Photopia. It take all my energy

 I will buy it later.

Mirja.

Hi Paul,

I just wanted to make sure I understood what you were saying about Groups....

So, you cannot apply a Mask or Adjustment Layer TO a Group (or crop, or add shadows or outlines) , but you can still have all of those effects applied to layers inside of a group.  (Image attached)

Is that what you meant? If so, that's correct.  Groups have some limitations like that, but their main purpose is to animate multiple layers at one time.  I don't know anything about coding (there may be limitations there), but you could certainly add those items to a Feature Request to see if it's possible to add them in a future build 🙂

Hi Jennifer,

no, I meant the use of masks within the group. When a group layer is not involved in managing the layers below it, there is no problem. Otherwise, the masks inside the group (as well as the adjustment layers) do not work correctly. They behave differently from ordinary layers, reacting to group movements. I recorded a short video, though without comment, but you will understand that.

Ok, I think I understand.....

In the second example in your video, it's actually not the mask that isn't working properly, it's the group 🙂  Layers inside a group aren't supposed to be cut off at the group edge like that, so this is really just a very good problem report (if I were to guess, it's probably related to Tilt).
