Hi folks,

I urgently need to find out why this is happening and how to fix it.

I'm a new Mac based Photopia user, although I did use PSG back when I was on PC. I've created my first show fairly easily given the similarities between Photopia and PSG, but when I attempt to publish the show it says "Missing File" in the render window.

When attempting to drag in to the show one of the files that it says is missing (even though the image is showing in the timeline) is says the file is not supported. It actually does the same with any of the images that are already in the show, even though they clearly are supported because they're already in the show!

I'm on the latest version and running on a Mac mini M1.

Any help greatly appreciated. My clients are waiting!

Paul

What a brilliant forum this is! Nearly a week after posting a question and no help offered. Not a single response, except for you KIM saying you have the same issue.

In case it helps anyone else having the same issue I'll tell you what I did that solved the problem.

My images were on an external drive and I guessed that this might be something to do with it, so I put a folder with the same images on my desktop and replaced the first few images in the show with identical files but from the desktop folder instead of the one on the external drive. This meant that the software itself and the files were all on the same drive. After that the whole show rendered without a problem. No missing file issues, even though most of the files were still held on the external drive.

It could be that the location of the files had nothing to do with it and it was just a weird glitch that coincidentally sorted itself when I used files from the same drive as the software was running on, but if you're having the same problem it might work for you too.

Paul
