I am trying to find a setting that will allow me to set the volume on the underlying soundtrack during portions of the show where I have incorporated short video clips. It is set on default to reduce the sound of the soundtrack and play the audio from the video. This does not work well for Live Photos for example. I have read other threads that reference a setting for "Soundtrack During other Sounds" but that option does not appear on the MAC version. When I click on the slide, it has an option for video settings but when I click on it, nothing comes up.
Is there a way I can change the master settings so that audio on incorporated video is silent and the show soundtrack plays 100% during those portions of the show? Also, is there a way to set this movie clip by movie clip? I have several small movie clips (2-3 seconds) where I want the soundtrack to keep playing. I have one where I would like the sound from the video clip to play as well.
You should find the "Soundtrack During Other Sounds" option by clicking on an audio track in the show soundtrack and then selecting the "Audio Settings" tab, on the right-hand side of the program. If you want to change this setting for one video layer at a time, that option can be found by clicking on the video layer and then looking under the "Layer" tab (on the right-hand side of the program) for the "Video Clip Settings" option. Expand that section of options then enable the "Soundtrack During This Video" option and set the Volume option accordingly.
