Animation movement is not smooth, like it was in Pro Show, even after rendering (which is very, very slow). Am I doing something wrong?

I've the same issue with Photopia Director, but no problem with Proshow Producer.

I have been pulling old shows created with PSP. They run smoothly on PSP but when I move them over to Creator, the animation is very jerky.

We're aware that preview playback in Photopia can be a bit 'jerky' with some shows on some systems, i.e. less smooth than we would like. We're working on a solution that should resolve this issue in much the same way it was resolved for ProShow, which had the same problem in older versions.

Having said that, video-based output from Photopia should be as smooth as video-based output with similar parameters from ProShow. When video output is created (from either program) the 'heavy lifting' (i.e. frame rendering) is done as part of creating the video. This is true for all video files and it's what allows video playback to be as smooth as it is on most computers.

If you find that video output from Photopia is not as smooth as video output with similar parameters from ProShow, please let us know by reaching out through the Contact Us form on our site so we can look into the issue further.
