Help!!  None of the features in my Soundtrack are working!  In proshow, i used the Trim Window (entered in the exact time when to start and end the song).  When I do it in Creator, it looks like it is saving the info, but nothing changes in the timeline (meaning the song does not trim).  Also, when I first add a song and it is placed in blue in the timeline, automatically there have been volume points added (that i did NOT add) and it will not allow me to right click on the point to delete it.  I am so frustrated and really need help!  Trying to finish my first Creator show, but will never be able to finish if I can not add in my soundtrack correctly.  (I have attached a screen shot of the volume points that were shown the moment that the song was added to the timeline - I did not click anything, but add the song).

I have been struggling with the same thing. When a slide has a slide sound then the Soundtrack is automatically adjusted lower with black and green control points that cannot be adjusted. When hovering over the green control points a popup info line says "Drag to adjust the volume and timing" but they cannot be moved.
1. How can these automatically inserted control point be adjusted?
2. There is the long black line that goes diagonally from the top black control point down to the bottom of the soundtrack. What does this mean?
3. What is the white lock graphic that displays in the bottom corner at the start and end of a soundtrack?

(I have an example screen shot but do not know how to insert it here)

I've the same problem with music. I imported a show from Proshow. Show runs fine in Proshow, but in Creator the volume keeps going up \and down.

Hello,

probably a Video has a sound and the Soundtrack is lowered.

Try in "Audio Setting-Soundtrack During othe Sounds"  up to 100

I hope this help.

Best regards   Dieter

I am having trouble with the soundtrack also, especially when I have another sound on a slide and want the soundtrack volume down on that slide. It doesn't happen. The soundtrack still overrides the slide sound.

We've recently identified a couple of issues related to trimmed audio tracks that could cause them to be imported incorrectly or have the wrong waveform when trimmed within the program.  These issues are fixed internally and will be included with the net update, which I expect to be released very soon.

The problems in this thread related to audio trim points and volume changes are different and should be reported through the Contact Us form so we can take a closer look at those situations.

UPDATE:  That new build (1.0.375) was released on 1.26 and should resolve these issues related to trimmed audio tracks, among other things.  Please let us know if you find otherwise.

Joshua, THANK YOU so much for fixing the Audio Trim function in the last update!  For those users who are still having trouble with the imported volume points (that will not delete). The reason they were in the waveform was because:  the slide associated with the volume points had a background video file included, so automatically the the waveform lowered the volume of the song for that time period.  Once I went into the “Video Sound Setting" and changed the volume  to 0 (instead of 100), and then changed the volume of the “Custom Soundtrack During this Video” to 100 (instead of a lower number due to the audio in the video file), then the volume points on the waveform disappeared!!    I am sure that the reason that me and others did not know why/how to delete these imported volume points is because the video files that were included on these slides are not video files that have “real” audio.  They are abstract backgrounds that do not make noise, however, there is an audio file attached so we must silence it for the song to play correctly.  Hope that helps!

Thank you Pam for your clear explanation. I discovered the slide sound adjustment yesterday but you explanation covered more details.

I installed Creator trial version two days ago and imported a show (.PSH) I made with Proshow Producer. Apparently it worked but now i'm experiencing a problem with sound.  Soundtrack has been imported correctly and I can hear the single tracks in the track preview, but if I press play i see the show preview without sound. Times and trimming appear to be correct in the imported show but I didn't try to modify them in Creator yet.

I'd like to do so but unfortunately your contact form says I'm blacklisted...

This is what I was trying to write in the contact form:

"As i wrote in the forum, show preview runs silently even though tracks have been correctly imported and I can actually hear the sound in tracks preview. Volume control in the command bar under the preview window is on, is there some other control i should consider to hear the soundtrack during show preview? I didn't try to publish so far, so I cannot say if the published video has the sound or not."

Edit: the second track (i used two tracks) is working, while the first one is still silent.

It's going better...

I tried to publish the show with the silent track and it was silent in the published video too, but then i tried to edit track fades and trimming and the sound came out. I didin't really made any change, i only applied a differnt fading time and then put it back the way it was, but now it's working.

Actually, the graphic rendering of track in the timeline and in the fades and tirmming panel is not good, i suggest you to make it more sharp and clear.

Earlier shows in Creator worked fine with soundtracks, but now with version 388 it won't let me import a soundtrack that is a wav file.  What do you think is happening and how do I fix it?

Never mind.  I shut down Creator and reopened and now it is working.

@sergio-bracali

We did recently identify and resolve an issue related to trimmed audio tracks in PSH slideshows.  That issue closely matches the situation you've detailed here and should be resolved in the most recent build.  We'll have to take a closer look at that audio waveform graphic.  Thank you for bringing that detail to our attention.
