Hi everybody. Just wondering what happens when your trial is over. Can you still use the program with some limitations? Like maybe not been able to save shows. Also, how does the pausing of subscriptions work? Can you still use the program in a limited way so you can continue to learn?
I think the program close for me when trial period is over - like every other program -if I do not pay at least for. one month. I should need longer trial period, but i have accepted två weeks..mostly it is 30 days. But every company is free give how long trial time they will give..
Today i bought Jennifers fantanstik video training on Vimeo and i hope she continue give learning videos. I guess i have forgotten that she will do it. She had done WOW video on YT.
I bought also to Proshow book and video training.That time they came by post.I do not learn well without a teacher. And Jennifer is really great.
May see if I am right about closing...Mirja
@folkroots Today I had a problem with my internet and when I tried to run Director in trial mode it would not run without a internet connection to check itself, so I'm thinking after the trial you will get a prompt to subscribe or close.
Good you told Photopia needs internet connection all the time .I have forgotten and it will make problems for me some few days. Adobe photoshop runs without internet, but if i do not pay so they will close. . It is only accept, .how thing are just now. Mirja

I just checked and if you have a valid subscription it will work with or without a internet connection. Only the trial and a expired subscription would require internet connection.

With an annual subscription, validation will occur once a month. And then you need the Internet.

Thanks for clarifying Robert and Paul. I got it wrong. This makes everything much easier.... Mirja
Thanks for the info. I guess I have my answer. I am still thinking about subscribing only because of the ability to pause your subscription. I do find it a bit expensive though. For me, here in Canada, you can add 25% to the price.
Keith
@folkroots I ask repectfully why your price goes up so much if you make a pause..Is it vat or what. Or you are outside EU?. I have been thinking annually subscribing because i know i forget make a pause and now when i do not need all the time internet contact i can use program on holiday at least on Norway ,Denmark Finland,and Sweden.
@mirja
Hi Mirja. The extra 25% I mentioned is just because of the exchange rate compared to the US dollar. As i mentioned I am in Canada. As I am not a heavy user or run a business I like the ability to only pay when I want to use the program to make a show. I also have Proshow producer to use. I am not a fan of a subscription based payment system for this type of program unless you are using it for business. Maybe for Director but not Creator.
Thank you for your answer. I am on same situation. I do not use any programs to make business or get money and we have our own crown. not euro.
poor rate for us compared to dollars and euros.
I have decided to take annual sub. I have went back making slideshows which was my best hobby.
