It was wise decision of you to take a break from Photopia Dina. It is so energy costly when the program is freezing all the time.
Good wait for January, still month. The team has - we hope - been able to solve freezing problems.
At least they will solve it. I often see you on Jennifer's pages and good you come here and see what happens
Wish you a very beautiful holiday time and see you later...Mira
Liz, I can update to my laptop and it is wonderful update. but I cannot update to my DESkTOP..It closes when i try update. I look better it tomorrow. Last time it was laptop and now desktop. I am really happy over this update.
I hope you have better luck. Mirja
I can honestly say I really don't now as I just get one update straightened out and the next update comes out and I am back to the same problem that I seem to be having trying to update to the latest version. In this case it is Version 1.0.333 same old story as before click on get updates and Creator shuts down.
Sorry to hear that. I am following this thread with much interest. For now I am happily using Producer.

Hi Liz.
I understand what you mean. I was doing ok apart from an uneven motion when I want to preview my show in playback. No freezing at all. With the next update, the freezing started. Now I am unable to test out the newest update but maybe a newer and better one would have arrived in January which is the time I plan to subscribe.
I am wondering why is it different for each user? Is it because each one has different computer specifications?
Do not get too frustrated when the program shuts off in an update. It should not of course but I think I can bear that. Uninstall and reinstall works. What is important is the program after the update. Better, quicker, and especially not freezing would be encouraging issues.
As I wrote same here on Desktop, not on laptop. I wonder why? To next time I try to remember how and what i do. Wonder if we must uninstall and reinstall.
Desktop has a guarantee, so I'm very careful with it.
We can handle this as last.
Wishing you all the best Mirja
Hi Liz, how it goes for you? I wrote to Photopia and got very good instructions how to do and it worked at once. No uninstall or reinstall.
Did you have same luck ? Warm greetings Mirja

Hi Mirja,
I’m glad to hear you have solved your problems with Creator, can you share with the group what Photopia told you so others may benefit from your information.
Thanks, Bob
Thanks, Bob Am i allowed to copy their answer for me? It was for Creator..Easy to follow.I gladly copy it here. I have sent a good feedback to Photopia. I copy it here. You are trusted member, I made the I option and it worked. Is this now on right thread? You can copy it on other place if you want .
1. Reboot your computer (just to be sure you're in a 'clean' state for testing).
2. Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type in the word "services" (no quotes).
3. Run the "Services" app that shows up in those search results (which will bring up the "Services" window).
4. Find the "Photopia Update Service" in that list.
5. If that service is NOT running, start it (right-click to find the 'start' option) then try updating through Creator once more.
6. If that service IS running, stop it (right-click to find the 'stop' option) then try updating through Creator once more.
Option 2 (if the first method doesn't work):
1. Reboot your computer (just to be sure you're in a 'clean' state for testing).
2. When the computer comes back up, do NOT open Creator.
3. Go to the following location and run the file "PhotopiaUpdater.exe"
C:\Program Files\Photopia Creator\

Hi Mirja and Bob,
Joshua and his team were very helpful I do not know what info they gave to Mirja but for me they provided the following info and method 1 worked for me.
I am using a Desktop.
Method 1:
Reboot your computer (just to be sure you're in a 'clean' state for testing).
Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type in the word "services" (no quotes).
Run the "Services" app that shows up in those search results (which will bring up the "Services" window).
Find the "Photopia Update Service" in that list.
If that service is NOT running, start it (right-click to find the 'start' option) then try updating through Creator once more.
If that service IS running, stop it (right-click to find the 'stop' option) then try updating through Creator once more.
Let us know what you find form this method.
Method 2 (if the first method doesn't work):
Reboot your computer (just to be sure you're in a 'clean' state for testing).
When the computer comes back up, do NOT open Creator.
Go to the following location and run the file "PhotopiaUpdater.exe".
C:\Program Files\Photopia Creator\
This should bring up a simple window that lets you choose the 'update' option.
Let us know what you find from this method (should it become necessary).
Liz.

Hi Mirja,
I'm sure Photopia would not mind you sharing any of their solutions with the forum. What you DON'T want to share is anything to do with YOUR subscription or license.
I know other people with the upgrade problem will benefit from the above post since it corrected your problem.
Thanks for sharing,
Bob
@mirja
Yes. I am sure people could benefit from the above post.
