Hello - I've gotten to the final stages of a project and have a lot of audio to add. Can someone point me to instructions on how to edit audio in the "Soundtrack?" ProShow seemed pretty easy, but for the life of me I can't figure out the controls on Photopia, nor find one of their videos that explains it. TIA!
Duane
OK, by experimenting a bit more I found a solution. Problem was the audio clip was longer than the slideshow, which is a problem with the Photopia viewer in that you cannot see the end marker for the audio clip. The viewer should show the entire clip whether there is a slide or not, which would allow one to easily grab the end marker and move it to where it needs to be I'd recommend this be added in a future release, and will write it up as such.
Hi Duane, I was having the same problem until I realized I could click on the trim icon and pull the end back to a region the could seen on the timeline.
Bob
Thanks, Bob - I'm still working on this project, so I'll give that a try. I've had trouble with the various tools deciding when they are going to be active or not - another mystery to figure out! I'm sure it will come with time and use. Frankly, I think the timeline should automatically show whatever is the longest duration, whether audio or visual - would make it easier to work on.
Duane
I agree with you 100%. I had your exact problem until I noticed the trim icon. Even then the timing on the trim line was confusing, I would think I had moved it far enough only to find I still could not grab it. Now I just move it almost to the beginning so I’m sure it will be in sight.

Has anyone experienced the issue where you combine two slides and, when you try to change the slide timing Photopia sets it to 0.0 and locks there? When you look, the audio timeline beneath that slide has disappeared. Now you're done. Photopia won't allow you to enter a time. I've tried setting the slide to manual then to automatic. I've tried locking and unlocking the sound track. Nothing I have tried works. I'm just dead in the water. Here's a link to a screen shot of what happens. . . http://www.martinsen.us.com/images/Photopia audio issue.jpg If anyone else has experienced this or knows a work-around for it I sure would like to hear from you. Thank you!

Hi Jim, I have had similar problems where it seems that the keyboard is locked out but the mouse still works. Without the keyboard I can't enter a time and have found saving the work sometimes brings the keyboard back but most times it requires closing the program and reopening. I sent support a ticket last week but have not heard from them, I'm going to send another.
Bob
Bob - Thanks so much for your reply. I think your keyboard lock is the key to this problem. I have also sent a support ticket. I think we have to sit back now and see what Photopia (Joshua) has to say. Again, thanks for your input. - Jim
