how do you adjust the brightness of photos in photopia?
Use the "Layers" list to select the layer you want to adjust then look to the "Adjustments" tab, under the "Color Adjustments" section", to find the "Brightness" option.
V 1.0.537 under the 'Adjustmets' tab, no loner has a brightness slider. Now how does one adjust brightness?
Look for a 'trash can' icon next to that "Brightness" option under the "Adjustments" tab. If you see that icon, hover over it and you should see a "Remove Animation" tooltip, indicating that the "Brightness" option is 'animated'. Once an option has been set to a specific value under the "Animations" tab it can no longer be set from the "Adjustments" tab. The value(s) from the "Animations" tab effectively become authoritative.
Clicking that 'trash can' icon will automatically remove any values specified under the "Animations" tab, thus restoring functionality (and the missing slider) under the "Adjustments" tab. Alternatively, any "Brightness" changes you need to make can be implemented under the "Animations" tab, although these changes would be more appropriately implemented under the "Adjustments" tab if "Brightness" is intended to remain at a static value for the lifespan of the layer.

This is the first time using Photopia, after switching from Pro Show Gold. I created my slideshow, including video and stills. The preview looks great, but when it is published as an MPEG-4 1080p video, the images (in both the video clip and the stills) gradually get brighter/more contrasty during the slide, then return to normal as the slide fades out to the next one. I have not made any color or brightness adjustments in the animation tab. What is going on, and how do I keep this from happening?
We'll need to take a look at that show to see what's going on. When you get a chance, please reach out through the Contact Us form on our website and we'll go from there.
