In the director, you can enter mathematical expressions and dependencies (analogue of modifiers) in the parameter fields. How can you implement, for example, this - turn off transparency in the area between 3 and 4 key frames? For this, in the producer it was possible to set a constant value in the modifiers for this section in KF 3.

In most cases, modifiers from intermediate key frames in a producer are not imported into the director. Apparently for the reason that the functional of the director’s modifiers is lower than in the producer? What are the prospects in this regard? Will modifiers have functionality no lower than in the producer? In particular, the action of the modifier on a certain period of time, no more. Will there be a graphic display of modifier waves in the future?

Just to followup on this older thread, we do intend to address these issues in Director. Expressions are an area of the program that still needs a fair amount of attention, both in making sure they're understandable and in working out any complications that yet remain. We can revisit this topic once those updates have been implemented.
