I accidentally put this topic into Troubleshooting, but was advised to put it here in General Discussions!  It's in both places now!

I'm a new user of Creator and have published a couple of shows to YouTube.  I would love to see how others are using Creator to make their slide shows.  I use it mainly to produce travelogues and I will put a couple of links to the first 2 shows I created with Creator.

The Cartagena show was imported into Photopia when ProShow Gold and Photodex went out of business.  It was a bit of a struggle and a huge learning curve, but it looks pretty much like all my other videos created with PSG.  The second one about the Oaxaca, Mexico Coast, was started and finished with Photopia!

I have found Choice Slides to be extremely helpful in getting me started.  The more I use Photopia, and learn more about how to use it, the more I like the program.

I would welcome feedback, positive or negative, and would appreciate any suggestions as to how to improve my shows.  And I would love to see what you are doing with Creator, so please put a link to your shows here on Community!  I think it would be fun to share ideas!

Barbara -

I'm trying but the Oaxaca video insists that I first have to join YouTube, while the Cartagena show loads OK. Is there any way I can force the Oaxaca show to load without joining?

I have never heard of having to sign in to YouTube.  Anyone should be able to click the link and see the video.  I am careful to be sure that all my videos are "Public" so anyone can see them!

I will paste links to the 3 short videos I've done with Photopia Creator here - please try again!  And let me know how it goes...

I also am asked to login or Create an Account to view the first two videos. The Grand Canyon plays OK without a login.

Hi Barbara -

Thanks for re-posting your shows. The Grand Canyon one came through very nicely, presenting me with the "play button" directly.

The first two videos, however, both showed the screen shown in the attachment. Sorry.

Interesting!  When I click on the link on the other 2, I see a small window upper right with a tiny play button.  Also, just below the window is the "video link" that you can click on.  Either one works fine.  You should be in full screen to be able to click the full screen button on the YouTube window.  I don't know why it doesn't just start to play like it does when I just send the link in an email.  Plitvice is especially beautiful scenery, and Oaxaca Coast has the most gorgeous sunset.  Hope you can see them.  Grand Canyon was presented as an "old-fashioned slide show" - with pics digitized from slides!  Since Covid is keeping me home, not traveling the world, I have to go back in time to find subjects to create shows - sometimes way back, to 1984 and 1999, for the Grand Canyon!

If you are interested in more in-depth travel shows you can go to my YouTube website, just Google "Werrenskis You Tube Videos" to see the world!

Looks like the other 2 are using "Studio" while the Rafting is a normal YouTube video.

I will send a screenshot of what I get for the first two videos.

I don't know what "studio" is!  I have no trouble playing any of them from Photopia Community!

Try viewing the videos another way, just Google "Werrenskis You Tube Videos" - the most recently posted are usually on top!

Wonderful! Using your "You Tube Videos" address worked great. Beautiful Oaxaca show--and you kept all your horizons horizontal (I say that because so many of my slides usually require adjusting/tweeking to get the horizon just right)! I'll watch the other show later.

Thanks for the alternate way to view the videos, they were awesome. Great trips...

Studio is what is in the address line of the first 2 links but not in the third, it is part of YouTube.

Thanks for the link to you channel.

Thanks!  I hate crooked horizons!  I have to straighten most of the pictures I take - I do a lot of photo editing!

My main reason for creating these shows is to preserve travel memories and I have been doing it a long time going through many iterations of slide shows!  I hope you watch some more of the travel videos that are more in-depth than the 3 short ones here.  My travel guru is Rick Steves, and my goal is to entertain and educate - and that is what Rick does so well!  My approach is a little different, however!

I was hoping that other people would post some of their creations here - I'd be interested in seeing what other people are doing with Photopia!

Glad you like the videos!

I hope you'll enjoy watching some more of my travelogues.  Most are longer and more in-depth than the 3 recent ones.

How do you use Photopia?  My hope is that by posting my offerings, others will do so too!

Jennifer Clark has done it again!  I hope everyone who uses Photopia knows about Choice Slides, the amazing website that has wonderful instructional videos of how to use Photopia, and she also sells great transitions and slide styles that I'm enjoying using!

NOW - SHE HAS A FORUM WHERE YOU CAN DO EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO DO HERE!

You can easily post your videos on the Choice Slides website and see what others are doing.  The website started yesterday, and already there are dozens of new people on it, and many shows to see!  I just put 3 shows on it, and have viewed shows by other producers - just what I want to do here!  Try it!
