Is there an easy way to place a dark background behind captions? In some of my slides the background is very bright, and the bright yellow captions are hard to see and read. I could edit the photo outside Photopia and darken the bottom portion of the photo behind the caption, but I would rather not mess with the photograph.

You need to go to Layers---Add--Add solid color-----select the background color you wish. Then, resize the solid color to go around your text, being careful to place your text above the solid color. If you highlight the text layer and the solid color layer together, you can click Add--Add group--Now you can move your text with background together, or rezsize both together, or whatever you wish to do with them.

Adding a solid color and reducing the opacity really did the trick.

Thank you,
