Capturing a Still Frame

Capturing a still frame from your slideshow is an easy way to save a single image, ideal for use as a social media or website thumbnail.

Learn more about capturing a still frame in today’s blog.

To save a still frame from your show, click and drag the timeline marker above your slides to find a frame you want to export.  Any frame from your show can be saved as a still image, even a frame in the middle of a Transition.

After locating the frame you’d like to save, right-click in the Preview window to see two options for still frames.

Set Show as Thumbnail applies the selected frame as your Show Thumbnail, which appears on your Photopia Home Screen.

Capture Frame will save a still image to your computer.

The following window will display your Show’s resolution, matching the frame you are about to capture, whether it is landscape, portrait, or square.

Click Capture, then choose a Save Location for your still file and give it a Name.

Still frames are ideal for use as digital thumbnails, providing a clean, high-quality image that represents your video on platforms like YouTube or Vimeo.
