Project Groups

If you have a lot of Photopia projects and struggle to keep them organized, Project Groups provide a simple way to organize your projects, making it easier for you to keep everything in order. Let’s take a closer look at how Project Groups can help you work more efficiently in Photopia.

Creator Users can create project groups to help organize their Show Projects. Director users can create Project Groups for any type of project they can create, including Slide Styles, Transitions, Wizard Themes, and more.

Every Photopia user begins with four default Project Groups: Shows serves as the primary group in the hierarchy. Within it are the Trash, All Shows, and Archived groups. New Project Groups can be created within the Shows and Archived groups.

To add a new project group under the main Shows List, first select the Shows Project Group, then click on New Project Group to create a new group. We’ll name our new group “Weddings.”

Next, we’ll create a subgroup within the Weddings project group. With the Weddings project group selected, we’ll click on New Project Group, and add a new group called “Summer 2026.”

To add a Show or Effect project to a Project Group, simply drag and drop it from the list onto the desired group.

There is also an option to add a Project to a Project Group under the right-click.

Project Groups cannot be deleted if they contain Projects. To delete a group, you must move all Projects out of it first and then delete the Project Group.
