Introducing Featured Settings

We are thrilled to announce the addition of Featured Settings for Slide Styles and Transitions! When viewing a Slide Style or Transition that includes these options, users can modify the Featured Settings without diving into Keyframes or searching through all the Adjustments to find the setting that they’re looking for. This streamlines the process of customizing your Styles and Transitions to fit the specific needs of each show.

You can watch the video or read the transcript below it.

The Essential Pan Slide Style is an example of a Style that incorporates several Featured Settings.

After selecting this Style in the Style Window, a Settings Option becomes visible above. Clicking on the arrow displays the available Featured Settings options specific to that Style. For this Style, the Pan Direction can be changed from Right to Left using the drop down menu.  The Outline and Background Colors can also be changed by clicking on the color swatch. The eyedropper tool makes it easy to choose a specific color directly from your slide. If you would like to modify these settings after applying the Style, simply open the Style again, adjust the settings again, and re-apply the style.

Another example is the Shape Right Style. This style has featured settings that allows the user to select the Shape used in the Style, the Outline Color, and the Background Brightness.

If a Transition has Featured Settings, the settings can be found on the right side of the Transition Window.  The Shape Color Zoom Transition has Featured Settings that allow the user to choose the Shape, the Color of the added layer, and the Outline Color.  If you’d like to modify these settings after you’ve applied the Transition, simply select the Transition, make your changes, and apply the Transition again.

Other examples of Transitions that have Featured Settings are the Confetti Tossed Colorized Transition, which allows the user to select the Confetti Color.

The Blur Spin Transition which allows the user to choose the Spin Direction.

The Chevron Wipe Transition, which allows the user to choose the Wipe Direction and Brightness of the Chevrons.

The creator of Slide Styles and Transitions must have added these Featured Settings, which means most of your older effects won’t have these options available.

If you are a Director User, you now have the ability to add these featured settings to your Slide Styles and Transitions. Watch our Director Tutorial to learn how you can add these customizable settings to your own Slide Styles and Transitions.
