Since this update includes many fixes and new features the User Manual has also been improved, top to bottom, to include all of the updates in an easier-to-access fashion. Click Help on your Photopia Home Page to view the PDF User Manual.
Featured Settings

Featured Settings provide easy access to customizable Slide Style and Transition settings without the need to navigate complex keyframes or adjustment settings. It’s important to note that only styles and transitions specifically designed to include these settings will have them available; older styles and transitions will not include this feature. To help you become familiar with Featured Settings, we have included a New Effect Pack for you to download and explore!

You should see this available to download in the News section of your home page. We have prepared video tutorials that will teach both Director and Creator users about using Featured Settings and a tutorial for Director Users about adding Featured Settings to their own effects.

Frames

Frames are a new Layer Effect that allows you to add frames to your layers right from the Layer List. Many of the frames will automatically adjust to your image orientation, the same way Slide Styles do. Once added to a Layer, the frame, image, and any text included can be animated together, the same as a Group.

Thumbnail Size

A very popular request has finally been realized! There are now five Thumbnail Size options in the Browser.
Visual Show Ratios

Understanding show aspect ratios can be challenging when you’re only given a list of numbers. Now, you can see visual representations of various show aspect ratios, along with options to view how they would appear on a computer, a vertical smartphone, and a horizontal smartphone..
Aspect Ratio Presets

We heard your call to add more vertical options and have added presets for 3:4, 4:5, and 9:16 Aspect Ratio Presets.
Red Mute Button

Gone are the days when you play your show back, don’t hear anything, and can’t figure out why. The Mute button will now turn red when your show is muted, so you’ll know exactly why you’re not hearing any sound when your show is playing.
Effect Timing

Styles and transitions come with recommended durations, but they can easily be overlooked. There is now an Apply Timing button for both styles and transitions that you can click to automatically apply the recommended duration for that effect.
Invert Motion

Easily reverse the settings keyframes by right-clicking on one and selecting Invert Motion. This action will inverting the animation.
